Certified Shari’a Adviser and Auditor (CSAA)

Certified Shari’a Adviser and Auditor (CSAA)

Dear Visitor:

Thank you for your interest in the AAOIFI ‘Certified Shari’ah Advisor and Auditor’ (CSAA) fellowship. It is to inform you that we are currently working on overhauling and re-introducing CSAA. One of the major outcomes of the revamping exercise thus far is the decision to split the fellowship into two separate fellowships, namely:

  • Certified Shari’ah Advisor (CSAD); and
  • Certified Shari’ah Auditor (CSAU)

Both fellowships will have four modules and a 1-year practical experience requirement, as is the case in the CIPA fellowship. Those who have chosen the fields of Shari’ah Advisory and Shari’ah Auditing, in particular, would find these fellowships most relevant towards strengthening and enhancing their technical knowledge and skillset. Our curriculum is being designed and developed to be comprehensive, industry relevant, and inspiring. Register yourself for major updates relating to the fellowship by sending us an email at [email protected]

Regarding CSAA Exams: We will no longer conduct the CSAA exams. After the last exam on 21 February 2018, we have not been accepting any new registrations in the fellowship. However, and based on repeated requests, we have agreed to offer those candidates who could not pass the last exam an another opportunity.  As such, the re-sit exam will be held on Wednesday 5, September 2018, Insha Allah. You are requested to contact Ms. Zainab Darwish ([email protected]) to register your interest in the re-sit exam. Please note that this is the last re-sit attempt. Thereafter, no requests for another exam will be entertained.
